Bryan Mbeumo made sure that he addressed Manchester United fans directly after his stunning display on his Premier League debut for the Red Devils against Arsenal.
Ruben Amorim immediately handed Bryan Mbeumo his Premier League debut for Manchester United alongside fellow summer signing Matheus Cunha on Sunday.
Mbeumo started out on the right flank in the No 10 role in Ruben Amorim’s United tactical system, while Matheus Cunha was in the same position on the left flank.
Mason Mount started the match in a false nine-esque role with Mbeumo and Cunha either side of him and the trio impressed in front of the Old Trafford faithful.
Both Mbeumo and Cunha played the full 90 minutes of United’s 1-0 defeat to Arsenal, while Mason Mount made way in the second half for Benjamin Sesko.

Bryan Mbeumo’s reaction to his Premier League debut for Man Utd in the defeat to Arsenal at Old Trafford
Bryan Mbeumo excelled with his physicality and showed off both his flair and speed during Manchester United’s attacking output against Arsenal on Sunday afternoon.
United were left chasing the match against the Gunners on the weekend after Riccardo Calafiori broke the deadlock with a close-range header in the 13th minute.
However, the Red Devils impressed with their performance in front of United fans, despite falling short to Arsenal in their opening Premier League match of the season.
Mbeumo was a key United signing in the summer and the 26-year-old French-born attacker featured under Ruben Amorim during the US leg of the pre-season tour.
The Cameroon international took to Instagram and insisted that United must remain “positive” for their next Premier League match after the result against Arsenal.
Mbeumo also made a powerful point to United fans after he argued that Red Devils supporters “deserved so much more” from the club’s opening tie of the new season.
“Not the start we wanted but we stay positive for the next one,” he told his Instagram followers in a post.
“Thank you for the huge support today from the start til [sic] the end. You deserved so much more today.”
Man Utd summer signing Bryan Mbeumo should hold his head up high after what he did against Arsenal at Old Trafford
Mbeumo was arguably one of United’s standout performers against Arsenal and the former Brentford star’s display rightfully earned him praise from fans and pundits.
While the Cameroon winger might not have scored or netted an assist, Mbeumo’s performance showed his effective link-up play with summer signing Matheus Cunha.
United splashed out to sign Mbeumo from Brentford in the first place, with the Red Devils agreeing to pay the Bees an initial fee of £65m for his transfer in July.
The Red Devils’ deal for the former Brentford ace will take the combined transfer fee to £71m in total, but it feels like a splash in the water for Mbeumo’s influence.
There were a lot of positives for United to take away from the Arsenal defeat and, unsurprisingly, Mbeumo’s presence on the pitch was a major one for Amorim.
