Bryan Mbeumo made 42 appearances across all competitions for the Bees in the 2024-25 campaign and the Cameroon international netted an impressive 20 times.
The former Brentford star’s stunning exploits at the Gtech Community Stadium caught the eye of United and the Red Devils pursued his signature last summer.
United landed Mbeumo back in July after Brentford accepted a third bid for the Cameroon winger, with the Red Devils paying an initial transfer fee of £65m.

Bryan Mbeumo’s Manchester United playing spell has been an early hit after the former Bees ace’s sensational run of form in the 2025-26 Premier League season.
The United summer signing has made 14 appearances across all competitions and Mbeumo has netted six times and registered an assist for the Red Devils so far.
Despite Mbeumo being a standout performer for United, the Red Devils’ overall form has been mixed and Ruben Amorim’s men are seventh in the Premier League table.

The United forward sat down with Amad Diallo for an interview with Sky Sports and the pair discussed the Red Devils’ 2025-26 campaign under Ruben Amorim.
When asked if he could see a real opportunity for United to bring European football back to Old Trafford, Mbeumo recalled a message he told himself at Brentford.
“Of course,” he said, before adding: “To be honest, even when I was in Brentford, I was always aiming high. I never thought, ‘Yeah, we want to stay in the league’ or something.
“I always wanted to aim high. So obviously, now in Manchester, that’s what I still aim as well.”

Mbeumo has become a key player for United manager Amorim and he agreed with teammate Amad Diallo about the Red Devils’ current ethos at Old Trafford.
“I think, as Amad said, we have a very good group, good players, good mentality, and obviously, the staff is pushing us every time, and he trusts us,” he said.
“He knows we have good abilities.”

Mbeumo added: “Obviously, we’re not quite happy because we know we can do better, and we know we have so much more in us.
“Even if, as Amad said, it’s been better, I think we are still growing, still developing, and obviously, we want to aim as high as possible.”
United agreed to pay a further £6m in potential add-ons to Brentford for Mbeumo as part of their summer transfer – on top of the £65m fee already agreed for the player.
