You cannot keep Bruno Fernandes down. Manchester United’s talisman was irresistible as the Red Devils downed Leeds 5-1 at Old Trafford in a pulsating start to the season.
Fernandes bagged a hat-trick in the win, scoring all three goals from open play, two with his left foot and one with his right.

This was Fernandes’ first ever hat-trick for United, and you could see from his post match interview how much it meant, with the player clutching the match ball tightly.
Now Fernandes has shared an image of him taking g the ball home to his wife, with the promise it will sit proudly in his living room. He has even got his teammates to sign it.
Fernandes’ character and drive to win helps inspire United as much as his quality on the ball and the team looked unstoppable at times today.
It was a major difference from the lethargic start to last season against Crystal Palace.
United meant business and the performance and result showed it. This is a team which no side will want to face this season.
