Manchester United got back to winning ways on Saturday after they defeated Fulham 1-0 at Craven Cottage.
Bruno Fernandes was Man of the Match and scored the only goal of the game in typical United fashion – late on.
It was a fantastic finish from Bruno. He showed unbelievable composure in the dying embers to calmly slot past Bernd Leno. Manchester United, and more importantly Erik ten Hag, definitely needed that.
Although the captain takes the headlines, one player who performed exceptionally well was Scott McTominay.

His captain thought so too. McTominay posted a picture to Instagram following the game with the caption: ‘Best supporters in the world in that away end. Quality goal @brunofernandes8.’
The Portuguese Magnifico wasted no time in responding.
Bruno is right. Along with himself and Harry Maguire – they were definitely the best three players in red.
Fair play to McTominay. A player who looked like he was to be shipped out in the summer, has now established himself as an essential figure for United this season.
McTominay should have had a goal for his troubles
McTominay’s game could have been even better if his disallowed first-half strike had been ruled out.
It was a very dubious decision from the match officials, which is becoming a regular occurrence for the Red Devils.
It was deemed that Maguire had interfered with play and, thanks to being offside, the goal was disallowed.
We thought this was very harsh. The Scotsman should definitely have another goal added to his tally this season.
Nevertheless, even without the goal to his name – he still had a fantastic impact. Ten Hag will be thanking his lucky stars that he wasn’t sold in the summer.
He looked destined for West Ham – but fate had other ideas. Now it looks like he’s going to remain firmly a United player for some time.
