Manchester United fans have been voting for their man of the match in the 1-0 win over Fulham on Saturday afternoon.
The winner came late, in dramatic fashion as usual, with Facundo Pellistri managing to poke the ball to Bruno Fernandes.
Fernandes then placed it delightfully past Bernd Leno which saw Manchester United pick up all three points with a 1-0 win.
It was a vital win for United, but ultimately questions remain in place about the poor style of play, with very few chances created.
VAR also will take the headlines as it ruled out an early Scott McTominay goal in a controversial manner.

Manchester United fans voted on the club’s official website and app after a dramatic late victory in the Premier League.
The vote for many was likely decided in injury time with Fernandes scoring the opener and winner. This was reflected in the vote
- Bruno Fernandes: 49 per cent
- Harry Maguire: 20 per cent
- Andre Onana: 10 per cent
- Alejandro Garnacho: 8 per cent
- All others had lower than 5 per cent.
Fernandes wins man of the match, thanks in the main to his goal, as otherwise it probably would’ve been given to Harry Maguire.
The United captain will be hopeful that he and his teammates can use this as a catalyst to slingshot them into form.
Ten Hag on Fernandes
After the game, Erik ten Hag was full of praise for his captain and insisted the midfielder is absolutely key.
Speaking post-match as quoted by Fabrizio Romano, Ten Hag said: “I don’t understand why people doubt Bruno Fernandes as our captain, really. He’s key for us”.
“Everyone has mistakes and no one is perfect. He’s massively important to us”.
Fernandes undoubtedly deserves more praise and respect from fans and if he can continue in this vein of form it would be difficult not to give him his flowers.
