This season, Fernandes is chasing the Player of the Season award in the Premier League, and he is on track to challenge the assist record in the Premier League currently held by Kevin De Bruyne.

United face West Ham up next, and if Fernandes provides an assist in London he will even break one of Ryan Giggs’ records.

Giggs holds the record for the most assists ever in the Premier League with an astounding 162. With 63, Fernandes has surpassed Paul Scholes, but reaching Giggs’ tally is unrealistic.

But Fernandes is just one assist away from holding United’s record for the most assists away from home in a single season.

Fernandes has already provided eight assists away from home this season, putting him level with Giggs in the 2001/02 season.

If Fernandes picks up an assist at the London Stadium on Tuesday evening, he will break the record and enter United’s history books… again.

Fernandes has been involved in 10 goals in his last eight away Premier League appearances (2 goals, 8 assists), so he is in fine form away from Old Trafford.

Since arriving in Manchester, Fernandes has dominated the chances created table. His creativity and eye for a pass in the final third is completely unmatched across the entire Premier League.

This season, FotMob states that Fernandes has created a staggering 74 chances. Arsenal’s Declan Rice is in second with just 47.

Fernandes already has 12 assists this season, almost double Rayan Cherki’s seven in second place. But based on his chance creation, it is not outrageous to suggest he should have even more.
