Mason Mount is now a Manchester United player and will team up with Bruno Fernandes in the club’s midfield.
From rivals to teammates, Bruno Fernandes has reacted to Mason Mount‘s move to Manchester United being confirmed.
The Portugal star posted to his Instagram story reel, selecting images of the pair bickering during a clash at Old Trafford.
He captioned it: “Why did you take so long to sign” with an angry emoji, before adding “Welcome Mason Mount.”

Technical director John Murtough told Manchester United’s official website: “Mason is an extremely intelligent footballer and has so many fantastic technical qualities that will significantly add to our squad.
“We have admired his talents for a long time, so we are delighted that he has chosen to take the next steps in his career here at Old Trafford.

“His style of play and attributes are a perfect fit for this squad, and we all believe that he will only improve further working with Erik ten Hag and his coaching staff.”
Mount’s arrival was also welcomed by the Champions League official twitter account.
England international teammate Harry Maguire also sent Mount a message via Twitter, writing: “Welcome mate”, while Luke Shaw responded to the midfielder’s Chelsea exit video.
Mount should settle in quickly at United. His spirited attitude is clearly appreciated by Fernandes, while he also clashed with Lisandro Martinez at Stamford Bridge last season.
Mount has clearly taken the motto, ‘if you can’t beat them, join them’, and is taking the step up by joining United and leaving behind a team which finished in the bottom half of the table last season.
