Brighton midfielder Diego Gómez is helping one of Manchester United’s latest signings to settle into his new surroundings in England.
Manchester United made five new signings in the summer, emphasising the attacking department after Ruben Amorim’s team failed to provide enough goals last term.
Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo and Benjamin Sesko were the attacking players brought in.
However, Amorim also welcomed a new goalkeeper by signing Senne Lammens from Royal Antwerp on deadline day. That came after Diego Leon arrived from Cerro Porteno, with the left wing-back regarded as a player for the future.
Only time will tell if the summer transfer window proves successful for United, but Ineos will give all of the players time to settle. Meanwhile, Amorim hopes those who arrived with Premier League experience can hit the ground running.
One thing is certain. Every new player will need time to adapt to their new teammates and Amorim’s coaching staff, while some of them are experiencing life in England for the first time.

Brighton’s Diego Gómez offers to help Diego Leon
Brighton & Hove Albion midfielder Diego Gómez was happy to see fellow Paraguayan Leon join United in the summer.
Although the Seagulls have problems of their own after a slow start to the season, Gómez has revealed that he is in contact with United’s new left wing-back to offer any help he can give.
In an interview with Versus Radio, Gómez spoke about Leon and their dialogue as two footballers from Paraguay playing for Premier League clubs.
“I always try to talk to him, because no one else has achieved what he has. Imagine coming here at the age of 18, outside your country, miles away from Paraguay,” Gómez said.
“I always try to support him because I know how much it hurts to be away from your family and your country. When you come here, it’s strange. You feel a different culture. I always try to talk to him.
“Hopefully, we can have a lunch like this so we can meet up with him and help him with whatever he needs.”
Like Lammens, Leon has yet to make a competitive debut for the senior team under Amorim.
Leon makes matchday squad for trip to Brighton
Leon has been included in United’s squad to face Brentford in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.
United travelled to London by train on Friday night and Leon was seen with the rest of Amorim’s squad.
Leon appeared for the under-21s against Liverpool last weekend, before being substituted at half-time, so it would come as a shock if he got any minutes with the senior team this weekend.
The injury to Noussair Mazraoui means United have room for another wing-back in the squad.
