Manchester United have a very talented academy and among the very best is England U18 international Bendito Mantato.
At the age of just 17, already the talented wide man has made a name for himself among the Manchester United fanbase.
Bendito Mantato has been one of the most complete youngsters at the club for the past few years, knocking on the first-team door.
Mantato is one of the most ready for a senior debut, proving himself adept at an U21 level and earning plenty of exposure to the first-team, including pre-season appearances.
However, this season, Mantato’s chances of getting a first-team debut might have been hindered.

Bendito Mantato sees first-team chances hindered
This season, Mantato has been utilised primarily as a left-back by United, instead of as a right winger, with Shea Lacey’s return taking that role.
Mantato has long been used at left-back by England, and United following suit could give him an excellent chance at breaking through as a wing-back.
However, according to the Daily Mail, Mantato’s chances of breaking into the first-team have ‘cooled significantly’ this season.
The reason for this is that Mantato is being given time to adapt to his new U21 role as a left-back, with his defensive game being worked on.
This will only add to the Mantato and Bukayo Saka comparisons, as the Arsenal winger broke through as a left-back originally, as did Gareth Bale.

Mantato might not be on the cusp of the first-team anymore, but patience could end up serving him well, with some impressive performances this season at left-back.
The athleticism that the teenager has at his disposal lends well to his game from left-back as he gets forward on every possible opportunity.
Mantato is still one of United’s best youngsters and his breakout could yet come over the next 18 months, with Patrick Dorgu yet to convince and Diego Leon behind him in development.
Alongside playing well for United, Mantato has earned rave reviews for England U18, which is another signal of his growing ability.
