Senne Lammens has had a strong first season at the Premier League club after Manchester United’s deadline-day move for the former Royal Antwerp ace in 2025.
United paid an initial £18.1m transfer fee for Lammens last September and the 23-year-old Belgian shot-stopper left his native homeland and arrived in England.
Speaking on his podcast, Ben Foster waxed lyrical about the much-needed positional security that Lammens has brought to the Man Utd No 1 role for the long term.
“I’m just buzzing that they don’t need to look for another goalkeeper because Senne Lammens is the boy,” he said on Fozcast.
“They’re sorted. How good is that? It’s great. Perfect. It’s exactly what you want.”
Rio Ferdinand admitted on his own podcast that he had ‘forgotten’ about Lammens’ impact this season and Man Utd could instead focus on signing a new No 2.
“Oh yeah, Lammens, I forgot about that [talking about standout signings],” he said on Rio Ferdinand Presents.

Man Utd No 1 Senne Lammens ended the 2025-26 Premier League season on a high note
Senne Lammens was able to notch up another clean sheet on the final day of the Premier League season, with Man Utd beating Brighton 3-0 at the Amex on Sunday.
The Belgium international has kept eight clean sheets in his 32 Premier League appearances, with Lammens playing in 33 matches overall for United this season.
Lammens succeeded Andre Onana between the sticks at Old Trafford and firmly established himself as the Man Utd No 1 under ex-Red Devils boss Ruben Amorim.
The former Royal Antwerp star made his senior debut for Belgium during the 2025-26 campaign and Lammens has been included in his country’s World Cup squad.
