Manchester United’s opponents Liverpool will be without key player Mohamed Salah this weekend.

Mohamed Salah’s absence for the Manchester United vs Liverpool match this weekend has been confirmed.

Salah suffered a hamstring injury in Liverpool’s recent match-up with Crystal Palace.

Speaking at his press conference, Arne Slot said: “He has a minor injury, so we expect him back for the final part of the season, but not for Sunday.”

Salah will leave Liverpool at the end of the season, and this was due to be his final away game at Old Trafford.

From a Manchester United point of view, Salah won’t be missed. He has scored at a prolific rate against the Red Devils during his career.

Liverpool waiting on goalkeeper news

The second big injury situation Liverpool are waiting on is at goalkeeper. Alisson has missed several matches and is in a race against time to get fit.

Slot said that he is still uncertain whether Alisson could be ruled fit to play in the game.

He explained: “Ali hasn’t trained with us yet. Very close to train with us. I have to hear today from the medical staff to see if he is ready to train today, either tomorrow or the start of next week.

“He is very close, but also we don’t want to take any risks.”
