Alejandro Garnacho scored the best goal of his career so far, and one he may never recreate so perfectly.

His overhead kick against Everton was described by Gary Neville as the best he had ever seen, and it is making headlines internationally too.

There is lots of curiosity in Alejandro Garnacho‘s native Argentina about his progress, especially after he was omitted from the last international squad.

His extremely re-watchable goal in the 3-0 win over Everton has generated major coverage in Argentina.

How Argentina reacted to Garnacho overhead kick

Newspaper Ole wrote: “Alejandro Garnacho’s overhead kick stole all eyes in Manchester United’s 3-0 victory against Everton.”

They added: “A great goal resulting from a sequence of four passes, when the teams were just beginning to deploy their game proposals. Nothing mattered to the Argentine, who scored one of the goals of the year in the Premier League.”

Ovacion Uno hailed: “Garnacho and a great goal for Manchester United that went around the world.”

Clarin described: “Garnacho’s madness of the year at Manchester United”, before going onto hail his goal as ‘a work of art’.

Minuto Uno wrote: “With an exquisite goal, the young star opened the scoring against Everton, two minutes into the match.”

A great way to grab attention

After being omitted from the recent Argentina international squad, this was a great way for the young forward to grab Lionel Scaloni’s attention.

Garnacho may even be in contention for the Puskas Award for FIFA’s best goal. Diogo Dalot, who provided the assist, has even asked his United teammate to take him to the ceremony.

This season has been a tricky one for Garnacho, he needed a big moment to lift his confidence. It was taken away from him with a marginal offside call away at Arsenal.

Well, this spectacular overhead kick was worth the wait, and timely reminder that the 19-year-old is a special player.
