Manchester United loanee Antony has now sent a clear-cut message after his impact for Real Betis in their La Liga clash against Girona on Monday.

Antony completed his move away from Old Trafford back in January after Real Betis snapped up the out-of-favour Manchester United winger in a loan deal.

Betis are reportedly paying the large majority of Antony’s United wages and the 25-year-old Brazilian attacker has been able to revive his career in Spain.

Antony, who is under contract with United until 2027, fell down the pecking order even further after Ruben Amorim’s arrival at Old Trafford last November.

However, the former Ajax star has been able to build up his minutes again under Betis manager Manuel Pellegrini and has appeared to rediscover his best form.

Man Utd winger Antony delivers his verdict after Real Betis beat Girona in their La Liga encounter

Antony has scored five times and registered four assists in 17 matches for Real Betis since the start of his six-month loan spell at the La Liga club.

The Manchester United player was in the Betis starting XI for his side’s 3-1 win over Spanish club Girona at the Estadi Montilivi on Tuesday.

Johnny Cardoso opened the scoring for Manuel Pellegrini’s men in the first half before Antony netted for Betis and Isco added his side’s third before half-time.

United star Antony impressed with his Betis performance and the Brazil international took to Instagram and wasted no time in making his feelings clear to fans.

“Another awesome night,” he wrote to his Instagram followers, adding a heart emoji.

Antony’s long-term future at United remains uncertain and the Betis player initially struggled to establish himself as a regular under United manager Ruben Amorim.

Betis have been linked with signing Antony on a permanent basis and Pellegrini has admitted that he would like to keep the Brazilian forward at the La Liga club.

“Well, we’ll see what happens next season,” Pellegrini told DAZN, as per Marca and the Manchester Evening News.

“We have 18 points left, six more games this season, and also the [Europa Conference] Conference semi-final.

“I see Antony very involved in the team, in the group, in the institution. We would all be happy if he stayed, but now we have to focus on the present, and the present is Valladolid.”

Antony has scored 12 times and registered five assists in 96 matches since United’s big-money move to sign him from Dutch side Ajax in 2022.
