West Ham could be the next to change managers, for the second time this season.
Nuno Espirito Santo is on the edge after West Ham fell even further adrift in their relegation battle following a defeat to Nottingham Forest.
Ben Jacobs reveals in his newsletter for GiveMeSport that West Ham are considering Michael Carrick as an interim replacement.
He explains: “Like Manchester United, West Ham could also go down a caretaker route. Slaven Bilic would be open to a short-term return to the club, while Michael Carrick (a Manchester United caretaker target along with Ole Gunnar Solskjær) has also been considered.”

Carrick could be tempted
Carrick also has history with West Ham as a player, it is where he began his club career, before joining Tottenham and then Manchester United.
The Red Devils’ interest is most advanced, but if Carrick is not chosen for the United interim post, he could could have an interesting fall-back option.
This is also noteworthy as it could influence Carrick’s decision whether to stay and support Solskjaer as assistant or not.
He could be more tempted to wait on the West Ham manager job, rather than an assistant role.
Carrick previously worked as an assistant at United and then caretaker boss, before becoming manager at Middlesbrough.
He managed 136 matches for the club, with a win rate of 46.9 per cent.
