Andreas Pereira returned to Old Trafford for the first time since leaving Manchester United last summer.
The Brazilian left United in pursuit of first team football after spending the past two seasons out on loan.
Yesterday his Old Trafford return turned sour, with his Fulham side embarrassing themselves with a meltdown which saw two players and their manager sent off.
Manchester United won the game 3-1, with Bruno Fernandes netting twice and Marcel Sabitzer scoring his first ever for the club.

Andreas Pereira reacts
Fulham took the defeat badly, having been leading 1-0 before conceding a penalty on 70 minutes.
It was the right call, with Willian clearly handling the ball on the line. Fulham were suddenly reduced to nine men and stood no chance against a United side with the crowd roaring them on.
Pereira commented on Instagram after the game to say he felt Fulham deserved more from the game. He also thanked Manchester United’s supporters for the reception he received.
He wrote: “A day we cannot forget. We were better, we deserved more. @emiratesfacup we will come back even stronger next season! @fulhamfc 🖤
“Thank you so much for your support @manchesterunited fans.”
Pereira’s stance that Fulham ‘deserved more’ doesn’t cut much ice. They were the architects of their own downfall, there was nothing unjust that happened to them.
Top teams must play well for 90 minutes, not just 70. That is the difference, and why Manchester United keep on going and come from behind to win matches so often.
United are now into the FA Cup semi-finals, set to face Brighton at Wembley.
Fulham still have to visit Old Trafford again this season in the Premier League. They will return with a point to prove.
