Latest updates on Manchester United’s loanees, Andre Onana and Enzo Kana-Biyik.

There are currently 16 Manchester United players out on loan, dotted around the Football League, to Scotland, Spain, Italy, Switzerland and Turkey. Here is a look at the latest developing situations…

Andre Onana

Andre Onana is coming under increased pressure at Trabzonspor after a disastrous performance against Fenerbahce.

He conceded three goals from three shots on target in a 3-2 defeat, while Ederson made six saves at the other end.

Onana was criticised by the Turkish press following the loss, and the scrutiny has continued through the week.

Ahead of this weekend’s fixture with Gaziantep, Onana is being warned that further mistakes could lead to him being dropped.

T24 reports: “If Onana’s performance decline continues, the coaching staff is expected to make a change in goal.”

Haber7 also report that Trabzonspor ‘may rotate the goalkeeper’ position, reporting that his performances have become a ‘topic of discussion for the coaching staff’.

They describe his performances as ‘inconsistent’, adding: “Head coach Fatih Tekke is considering fielding Onuralp, who is considered physically ready and expected to be the starting goalkeeper next season.”

It has already been reported that Onana has does not expect to sign with Trabzonspor on a permanent basis.

Lausanne snubs continue

Sekou Kone was dealt a blow at the start of the week when it was revealed he had not been registered in Lausanne’s Europa Conference League squad.

Lausanne travelled to the Czech Republic to take on Sigma Olomouc, and they secured a 1-1 draw.

Manchester United did have one loanee involved, Enzo Kana-Biyik. Unfortunately he was an unused substitute on the bench.

Kana-Biyik has been in and out of their side this season, impressing with an assist against Fiorentina back in December in the competition.

He and Kon will at least be fresh for their next fixture, at the weekend in the league against Lugano. We will see if their fortunes improve.
