How Amir Ibragimov fared for Russia on second cap

After his debut came in the form of a 30-minute cameo, he only got half that against Trinidad and Tobago.

Off the bench in the 75th minute, Russia were already 3-0 up and the match had all but concluded as a sporting prospect.

Ibragimov only had five touches of the ball, and he completed two of his attempted passes, with three being progressive and a fourth inside the Trinidad box.

Without the ball, Ibragimov completed the only duel that he attempted.

It was a pretty flawless performance from the 18-year-old, although there wasn’t a lot for him to actually do, meaning it is difficult to truly judge the performance.

But it is excellent for his development to be playing senior football.

Ibragimov wasn’t the only player of interest for United in this one, with Aleksey Batrakov linked with an Old Trafford move lately.

It was according to TeamTalk, United had an interest in Batrakov. However, there was a problem relating to political reasons, and PSG are said to have therefore stormed ahead in the race to sign him.

But with his performance against Trinidad, United should have been watching and must consider a second move and all avenues.

Batrakov scored from midfield while impressively completing 92% of his passes (58/63), including 5/6 long passes, which demonstrates the kind of player he is.

He also made seven recoveries and one interception while also winning his sole duel. Batrakov looks like a really exciting talent, and it is easy to see why PSG want him.
