Amad pays tribute to Pogba and Lingard as exits confirmed

Manchester United youngster Amad has paid tribute to Paul Pogba and Jesse Lingard after their exits from the club were confirmed.

United first announced Pogba’s departure, before following up with a similar announcement on Lingard hours later.

Neither exits came as a surprise, simply telling fans what was expected already, but it has served to draw a line under their time at the club and preventing any uncertainty and misinformation.

Young star Amad regarded both players highly and was among the first players to pay tribute to the pair, showing his respect for them both.

Amad’s message follows a tribute post from Eric Bailly, who said he will miss Pogba.

The picture Amad posted with Lingard was from one of the teenager’s first training sessions with the club in January 2021, before his teammate went on loan to West Ham.

Pogba was a player Amad idolised before even signing for United.

United’s website explained how the pair met in 2015 in Italy, when Amad was beginning his training as a youngster, before being brought together at United in 2021.

His Instagram message shows how he regarded Pogba as a ‘big brother’, and that he will miss the departing Frenchman in particular.
