Ivory Coast will be heading to the USA next June for the 2026 World Cup after a big win against Kenya on Tuesday.

With the places in the World Cup being snapped up, Amad has now secured his and the Ivory Coast’s place next summer.

The scoring was opened by Franck Kessie, who scored from Amad’s assist, which was the Manchester United winger’s first for his country.

Yan Diomande then doubled the advantage for Cote d’Ivoire against Kenya in the second half.

Then, late on, Amad stepped up to score the final goal in a 3-0 rout, sending his country to the World Cup in the process as they now sit top of Group F after 10 games, with Gabon taking the play-off place.

This is Ivory Coast’s first qualification in 12 years.

Amad finding form at the right time for Manchester United

This performance from Amad was top class, and sees the No.16 continue to positive signs that he was showing before the international break at Old Trafford.

Amad was excellent against Sunderland, being an ever-present threat down the right side.

This saw him test the goalkeeper, with the performance showing Amad is back at his best for United, with Bryan Mbeumo forming a great partnership with him. Hopefully, this goal kick-starts his season.
