Amad Diallo lets Erik ten Hag know what position he’d like to play for Manchester United.
Since returning from loan spells at Rangers and Sunderland, Amad Diallo has not exactly had the desired amount of minutes he’d have liked at Old Trafford under Erik ten Hag.
Granted, this was down to injury, but now the Ivorian is back. And boy did he come back with a bang. Diallo finally fully arrived at Manchester United with his dramatic last-minute strike against Liverpool.
It was undoubtedly his finest moment in a Manchester United shirt so far.

Amad Diallo reveals exactly what he did after Liverpool’s goal
Diallo reflected on the fine moment against Manchester United‘s bitter rivals in a recent interview with club media.
The £19m man from Atalanta was asked exactly what he did after the FA Cup match, to which he replied:
“It was unbelievable. Unbelievable day for everyone. It was a day like every other day really. I go home with my girlfriend, and I celebrate the moment with my family. I was happy, but nothing special!”
The goal certainly got Red Devils fans talking, with suggestions Ten Hag should potentially give him a go from the off in Manchester United’s first-team squad.
This ultimately begs the question, if he were to start – what is his best position?
Amad Diallo reveals where he wants to play for Manchester United
There has been talk about Amad’s best position a lot since the Liverpool strike. He arrived at the club touted as a talented young winger, and he has the traits to play on either side.
He also has the capabilities to play up front, or even as a central-attacking midfielder. The versatile Ivorian possesses the ability to be more than competent in multiple different roles.
But where does he feel he best operates? When asked the question, he responded:
“I prefer playing right-winger because that’s my position,” Amad states. However, he goes on to say he’s happy to put the team first if needs be.
“As a player, you need to be ready to play every position. You need to be ready to play number 10, striker, right winger, left winger. So if the manager puts me in that position, I am ready to fight for the team.
A great attitude. Good lad, Amad.
