Amad Diallo waxed lyrical about one “quick” and “strong” Manchester United star who has had the biggest impact on him during his time at Old Trafford.
The 22-year-old Ivorian attacker first arrived at the Premier League club in 2021 after he was signed from Serie A outfit Atalanta for an initial fee of £19m.
Amad Diallo struggled to break into the Manchester United first team under former manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer before finally making his mark last season.
The Ivory Coast international missed the opening months of the 2023-24 campaign due to a pre-season injury before challenging for his place in the first team.
Diallo scored twice and registered a single assist in 13 appearances across all competitions last season, with the United star often fighting for first-team minutes.
Despite his limited playing time last season, Diallo made a lasting impression under United boss Erik ten Hag and established his place in the first team.

Diallo raves about Man Utd star
Amad Diallo impressed during the pre-season tour in the summer with Manchester United, but he has faced fierce competition for his place in the starting XI.
The former Atalanta player has scored once and picked up an assist in six Premier League appearances this season, with Diallo managing four league starts.
Diallo, who has made 10 appearances across all competitions, has been battling with Alejandro Garnacho for a place out on the right in the starting XI under Erik ten Hag.
Speaking to JD Football’s TikTok account, the Ivory Coast winger was asked who is the best player that he has played alongside at Old Trafford.
Diallo made his feelings clear that Marcus Rashford impressed him when he first signed for United, with the Red Devils star still rating the England international.
“Oh, this is difficult,” he said.
“There are a lot of quality players in the team, but when I came here the player, I was most impressed by was Rashy [Marcus Rashford].
“He was quick, he was strong and I want to say Rashy because he was so good and he’s good also now.”
Diallo out of action for October break
United on Wednesday confirmed that Diallo will not feature in the international break for the Ivory Coast after he was called up for the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
According to United’s official website, the Red Devils winger was forced to withdraw from the Ivory Coast squad due to “illness.”
United have said that Diallo, who has been capped six times for his country, “will now return to Manchester” ahead of the Red Devils’ next Premier League clash.
The Red Devils played out a 0-0 Premier League draw against Aston Villa at Villa Park on Sunday ahead of the October international break.
United will now return to action on 19th October when they host Brentford at Old Trafford in the Premier League, with kick-off slated for 3pm UK time.
