Altay Bayindir shared a spine-tingling message with Manchester United fans after the Red Devils comfortably beat FCSB in the Europa League on Thursday evening.
Manchester United have impressed with their results in the 2024-25 Europa League season, despite their sporadic form in the Premier League.
Erik ten Hag picked up three draws in United’s opening three Europa League matches in the campaign before the Red Devils sacked the Dutchman last October.
Ruud van Nistelrooy then picked up one win for the Red Devils during his four-match interim managerial spell after he temporarily succeeded Erik ten Hag in the hot seat.
Ruben Amorim ensured that United reached the Europa League knockout rounds, with the Red Devils winning their last four matches in the competition under him.
United’s 2-0 win over FCSB put the Red Devils in third place in the league phase of the Europa League table, which was introduced by UEFA this season.
Ruben Amorim’s side finished one point behind second-place Athletic Club and first-place Lazio, but United will still reach the round of 16 in the Europa League.

Bayindir’s message to Man Utd fans
Ruben Amorim’s Manchester United side will now face AZ Alkmaar, Midtjylland, Real Sociedad or Galatasaray in the last 16 of the Europa League.
The Red Devils took the lead against FCSB in Thursday’s Europa League tie thanks to Diogo Dalot before Kobbie Mainoo doubled United’s advantage on the night.
Altay Bayindir took his place between the sticks and the United shot-stopper walked away from the National Arena in Bucharest with a clean sheet to his name.
The 26-year-old Turkish ‘keeper has seen the highs and lows at Old Trafford this season, including conceding from a corner in the quarter-final Carabao Cup defeat to Tottenham in December 2024.
However, Bayindir has played six matches for the Red Devils this season and also impressed at times, including his penalty heroics in the third-round FA Cup win against Arsenal earlier this month.
Bayindir, who has often played second fiddle to Andre Onana, took to Instagram and shared a poignant message after United’s latest Europa League win.
“A big thank you to our fans for supporting us away from home,” he wrote.
“Well done, team. Let’s keep going! YANITED [sic].”
Amorim looks ahead to Premier League
United will return to Premier League action on Sunday against Crystal Palace, with kick-off slated for 2pm UK time at Old Trafford.
Speaking at his post-match press conference, Amorim admitted that United would stay in Romania before travelling back to Manchester to continue their preparations.
“There’s no other way to do it,” he said, as per Manchester United’s official website.
“We can go back and don’t sleep, don’t eat properly. So, we are going to eat now, sleep, some guys are going to train, we are going to recover.
“We arrive [back in Manchester] late [on Friday], some players can be a little bit upset, but it’s a good thing and they will be prepared for Sunday.”
