Alex Telles sends departure message, De Gea and Fernandes react

Alex Telles‘ loan move from Manchester United to Sevilla was confirmed this week, with the defender moving on a season long deal.

The club confirmed Telles’ exit, and the left-back has sent a message of thanks to Manchester United for his time at Old Trafford.

Telles included a picture of his standout moment, his one and only goal for the club in the Champions League comeback win against Villarreal.

The strike was even nominated for the Champions League goal of the season award, with his equaliser the spark for United to go on and win 2-1.

Alex Telles also sent a separate Instagram message expressing his excitement to get started at Sevilla, writing: “WE GO! I am honored by this opportunity. I arrive with a lot of desire to add and get the best possible results for Sevilla. I can’t wait to debut and be able to help my teammates. #NeverGive Up 🤩💪🏾🔥”

This elicited a response from United and Brazil teammate Fred, who responded: “Come on my brother, up! Fly ❤️”

United will hope Telles does well, enough to generate a permanent fee next summer, with the club unable to get one this summer.
