Manchester United hope Alejandro Garnacho will be able to make a prompt return to first team action.
Alejandro Garnacho provided reason for optimism by sharing a picture of him back wearing football boots again.
The last time United fans saw Garnacho he was leaving Old Trafford wearing a protective walking boot after suffering an injury against Southampton in early March.
The injury cost him a place in the Argentina squad last month. He had been called up and had to withdraw.

Alejandro Garnacho return date
Alejandro Garnacho has been the breakthrough player of Manchester United’s season, establishing himself as a first team player, after starring for the under-18s last season.
The 18-year-old is currently out with injury – but his latest injury update has generated some excitement he could be back soon.
A new report from Argentine outlet El Destape describes the picture as ‘the best news’, excited that Garnacho will be fit to take part in the under-20 World Cup in late May and early June.
The report states Garnacho, “injured the ligament that connects the right ankle to the tibia and fibula.”
He suffered the injury in the draw with Southampton early last month.
El Destape report: It is estimated that at the beginning of May he will be able to play again.”
Garnacho being pictured back in boots doesn’t necessarily move that schedule up. Christian Eriksen shared an image back in football boots in mid-March, but wasn’t ready to return until the third match after the international break.
By that same scale, Garnacho is still a couple of weeks away at least, but the projected ‘early May’ comeback date is certainly in play.
Erik ten Hag said he wants Garnacho to ‘be ready‘ for important games at the end of the season.
