Alejandro Garnacho showed his admiration for two of his Manchester United teammates after the Red Devils’ Europa League win over FCSB on Thursday evening.
Manchester United punched their ticket to the last 16 after finishing third in the Europa League table, with the Red Devils one point behind Athletic Club and Lazio.
Ruben Amorim’s men will now take on AZ Alkmaar, Midtjylland, Real Sociedad or Galatasaray in the first stage of the knockout rounds in the Europa League.
United broke the deadlock in the second half at the National Arena after Kobbie Mainoo set up Diogo Dalot for the Red Devils’ opener against FCSB.
Following Diogo Dalot’s strike in the Europa League, Kobbie Mainoo added his name to the scoresheet eight minutes later thanks to an assist from Alejandro Garnacho.
The Red Devils sealed all three points on the night against Romanian outfit FCSB and Ruben Amorim’s side can now look ahead to the round of 16.

Man Utd star Garnacho sends message
Manchester United ended the league phase of the 2024-25 Europa League season without suffering a single defeat.
Erik ten Hag had led United to three Europa League draws in their opening three matches before the former Red Devils manager was axed last October.
Ruud van Nistelrooy won one Europa League match for United as interim manager before Ruben Amorim led the Red Devils to their last four wins in the competition.
Alejandro Garnacho was subbed on for the second half in place of Tyrell Malacia and the United winger had a stunning impact for the Red Devils.
The 20-year-old Spain-born attacker was denied almost the perfect start after the break, with Garnacho seeing his effort strike the far post.
Garnacho was a lively presence for United during his cameo and the Argentina international managed to pick up an assist for the Red Devils’ second of the contest.
The United player took to Instagram and posted a touching message to fans after the 2-0 Europa League win over FCSB in Bucharest.
Garnacho shared a photo of him and Kobbie Mainoo celebrating after the latter scored, as well as a selfie featuring the pair and United star Amad Diallo.
“Away days,” he wrote for the caption, including emojis of an ice-cold face and a finger pointing up.
Amorim reacts to Man Utd in last 16
Speaking after the result at the National Arena, Amorim welcomed United’s progression to the last 16 and called it a “massive” moment for the Red Devils.
“That is massive for us,” he said, as per Manchester United’s official website.
“The joy of winning, the feeling of winning, but we will have two [free] weeks to work on our idea and to prepare for the games. It’s really massive for us.
“We are in the next stage, we are going to prepare for the next stage, but the most important thing now is to recover.
“Sunday, we have a game with our fans and we have to be ready for that.”
