Alejandro Garnacho has further cemented himself as one of Manchester United’s most important players this season.
The dazzling Argentine winger is now one of the first names on Erik ten Hag‘s team sheet, which is a remarkable feat for a 19-year-old.
But absolutely no one can deny he doesn’t deserve it. The proof is in the pudding for Garnacho, his performances in the Premier League for Manchester United have been stunning.
His top-quality performances are also reflected in his stats – particularly in one where he ranks as the top in England’s top flight.

Alejandro Garnacho ranks #1 in the Premier League
As told by Statman Dave on the Planet Premier League podcast, Garnacho tops the Premier League charts for the most ball carries that end in shots.
He then goes on to say that this is more than thriving English stars, Bukayo Saka and Phil Foden.
To add to this, the teenager also ranks 4th for all carries that end in a key pass, proving that he is one of the most effective wingers in the league when in the final third.
These numbers more than anything show how positive and direct Garnacho is.
He picks up the ball and drives at defences – then instead of turning out either ends the surge with a shot, or a key pass. Not bad for a kid at all.
Alejandro Garnacho is only going to get better…
One thing identified about Garnacho that could be better is his decision-making, but for such a young player – you simply have to be excited about the sheer potential of him.
He’s already dominating the league, without even hitting 20 yet, who knows what he could achieve a few years down the line?
His idol is Cristiano Ronaldo after all, so can he follow in the footsteps of the Portuguese footballing icon and become one of the greatest Manchester United wingers of all time?
