Alejandro Garnacho has already proved his quality for Argentina at under-20 level

Manchester United saw in the 2021/22 season that the club have a very special talent on the books with Alejandro Garnacho.

The former Atletico Madrid talent was the inspiration behind Manchester United’s FA Youth Cup win, scoring seven goals in six games.

Now he has been taking his talent global, starring for Argentina’s under-20 side over the recent international break.

After being called into the Argentina senior squad in Marcg, Garnacho is with the under-20s as both a test, and a chance to play and start regularly, and he has seized the opportunity.

Garnacho a star for Argentina at under-20 level

Garnacho has already proved his quality for Argentina at under-20 level, scoring four goals in four games over the recent international break.

The Manchester United talent is turning heads in his homeland, continuing an impressive individual campaign, now for club and country.

Garnacho’s goal tally for 2021/22 for club and country is looking pretty healthy too.

He scored four for the under-23s, 15 for the under-18s, and now four for his country takes his numbers to 23 goals for the season.

In a campaign in which he made his first team debut at the age of just 17, Garnacho is rightly overjoyed at how his season has panned out.

He will soon be back at Carrington to try and impress Erik ten Hag in pre-season and potentially earn a spot on tour.

These international goals will add to his confidence, and fuels rumours Argentina boss Lionel Scaloni could call him up as a shock pick in his country’s World Cup squad later this year.
