There is something very special about Alejandro Garnacho. We are witnessing the spectacular rise of another superstar.
Erik ten Hag has tried to play it cool with Garnacho, and ease him into the team slowly. But the cream always rises to the top.
In the last two games when United have needed goals, Garnacho has got the call. He responded with two assists in midweek, and a winning goal on Sunday.
Garnacho was the youngest Premier League player to score an injury time winner since Federico Macheda for United in 2009.

Ronaldo-esque
Garnacho’s goal came down the same end at Craven Cottage as Cristiano Ronaldo’s winner for United in 2007.
The teenager has a similar aura about him, he carries himself like a superstar, and plays like one too.
The way he has adapted to the Premier League has been terrific. It isn’t at all controversial to say Garnacho is better at the same age than Ronaldo, a more polished and productive player.
That isn’t to say he can go on and match Ronaldo’s incredible feats, but if he can deliver half of what Ronaldo has – he will have had a terrific career.
United have struck gold with Garnacho, who is the club’s most exciting academy prospect in years. It feels like the sky is the limit for him.
Future number 7
Garnacho’s rise comes just as Cristiano Ronaldo’s Manchester United career appears to be coming to an end.
With Ronaldo’s expected exit, his iconic number 7 shirt will become vacant next summer.
Alejandro Garnacho is an ideal candidate to step in. Ronaldo wore it at 18, and Garnacho would embrace the opportunity rather than wilting under pressure.
The pair are close, with Garnacho making clear Ronaldo is his idol, and the superstar would likely give his blessing to the teenager to become his successor.
