Alan Shearer has warned Erik ten Hag over his Manchester United squad being filled with ‘bad eggs’ after losing to Newcastle.
Manchester United were predictably disappointing against Newcastle in a performance which was lacking of passion and desire to win.
Due to that, Eddie Howe’s side were handed an easy 1-0 victory over United, although it could’ve been a heavier defeat.
The result wasn’t the most concerning part though, with several players’ character being questioned, such as Marcus Rashford who was slammed by Jermaine Jenas.
He wasn’t the only one though as several were poor and now there’s been further critique.

Speaking on Saturday night’s Match of the Day, alongside both Gary Lineker and Danny Murphy, Alan Shearer slammed the United squad for their attitudes, before telling Erik ten Hag what he needs.
“For me, there are too many bad eggs in that Manchester United team, too many bad attitudes, it’s alright when things are going well for you, can get your feet on the ball can play can pick your head up when things are all nice and rosy.
“When it’s not going for you and you’re a little bit tired when you’ve been away in a European game and you think ‘come on you’ve got to roll your sleeves up’, there are not enough characters in that team.”

This isn’t a new issue which has appeared out of the blue, but seeing again the awful mentalities at this club is frustrating.
Rashford and Anthony Martial were the main culprits as both looked completely uninterested in tracking back.
From the look of disgust on Ten Hag’s face, it’s probably safe to assume the duo won’t start against Chelsea.
This is an issue embedded in the club over the last 10 years and this again has just re-emphasised the need for a rebuild.
