Manchester United continued to love life away from Old Trafford, winning 1-0 against Fulham at Craven Cottage to push themselves to 12th in the table.
Lisandro Martinez’s deflected shot in the second half was enough to give Man Utd the lead and all three points in a nice birthday present to Ruben Amorim.
The narrative before the game was all about United needing a win to avoid getting plunged deeper into crisis mode and they delivered.
However, a big subplot was the ongoing tussle between Martinez and Adama Traore, who had quite the back-and-forth after the reverse fixture at Old Trafford.

Adama Traore’s tone-deaf message to Lisandro Martinez after loss
Magnanimous in victory, and gracious in defeat- apparently nobody told Adama Traore that as he posted a message after Fulham’s loss to Man Utd that even his own fans wouldn’t like very much.
Traore didn’t start the game, coming on late to do his usual schtick of looking threatening but with no end product.
Martinez, on the other hand, was the match-winner and played an all-around good game, praised by the Man Utd manager afterward.
In any circumstances, Martinez emerged as the clear winner of that tussle, and Traore’s message after the loss in reverse fixture, when he said, “Don’t worry, we will meet again,” to Martinez aged like milk.
However, Traore wasn’t willing to let it go, so he posted an image on Instagram where he was walking away from Martinez, who was lying on the ground.
“Tough loss. We deserved more, but we will keep working hard and improving,” he wrote, in a tone-deaf message after a loss.
Amad’s response takes Traore to the cleaners
Amad has had a breakout season and that increased confidence looks to be transmitting itself to his actions off the pitch as well.
Clearly in the mood to give back after securing a victory in a game of attrition, Amad wasn’t going to let Traore forget what he promised after the reverse fixture.
He responded to Traore’s story at the time with a GIF of Martinez winking cheekily, adding the image of the Argentine celebrating his goal with a heart emoji.
The atmosphere around the team looks to be getting better again after two wins on the trot and the trip to Romania to face FCSB next in the Europa League will be a chance to make it three in a row.
Traore will probably be the furthest thing from the minds of anyone at Man Utd after that win!
