Kobbie Mainoo and Amad Diallo made their feelings clear to Aaron Wan-Bissaka after the former Manchester United star confirmed his exit from Old Trafford.
Manchester United on Tuesday announced that Aaron Wan-Bissaka had completed a permanent move to Premier League club West Ham.
Wan-Bissaka had fallen down the pecking order under Erik ten Hag after Diogo Dalot underwent a resurgence in form under the United manager.
Diogo Dalot displaced Wan-Bissaka as the first-choice right-back after Erik ten Hag succeeded United legend Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at Old Trafford.
Former Red Devils boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer first brought Wan-Bissaka to Old Trafford in 2019 after United signed him in a deal worth £50m from Crystal Palace.
Wan-Bissaka made 190 appearances during his time at Old Trafford and scored twice, with the United star lifting an FA Cup and a League Cup for the Red Devils.
The 26-year-old former United right-back made 30 appearances across all competitions last season, including a stunning performance in the FA Cup final.
However, Wan-Bissaka could have seen his first-team minutes reduced even further next season with the imminent arrival of Noussair Mazraoui from Bayern Munich.
Wan-Bissaka sends message to Man Utd fans
Aaron Wan-Bissaka on Tuesday took to Instagram and shared a heartfelt message with Manchester United fans after his departure from Old Trafford.
“To everyone associated with Manchester United, thank you,” he wrote.
“You’ve helped me [fulfil] so many dreams of mine [and] I leave the club with memories to last me a lifetime.
“I’m so grateful for the love, help and support I’ve had from players [and] staff during the last [five] years and wish you all nothing but the best.
“Thank you to the fans, you’ve stuck by us throughout the ups and downs. Appreciate you. Thank you so much, Reds.”
Wan-Bissaka inked a seven-year deal for an “undisclosed fee,” with BBC Sport reporter Simon Stone claiming on X, formerly Twitter, that the transfer was £15m.
The former United star will wear the No 29 shirt at West Ham and he welcomed his return to London after making his name at Crystal Palace.
“It was a no-brainer for me to join West Ham – I’m excited and happy to be here,” he told West Ham’s official website.
“It’s an amazing feeling to be back in London, and I’m excited for what’s coming.
“I was born here, so I know the ins and outs of London, which plays a big part in my life, so to be back playing in this city means a lot to me.
“I’m happy to be here, am grateful for the warm welcome, and I am excited to be playing for the club and will give it my all.”
Mainoo and Diallo respond to Wan-Bissaka
Kobbie Mainoo and Amad Diallo were among the current United stars to react to Wan-Bissaka’s departure from the Premier League club.
Diallo posted three heart emojis on Wan-Bissaka’s post, while Mainoo left a single heart emoji on the new West Ham signing’s Instagram message.
Scott McTominay and United legend David de Gea, much like Mainoo and Diallo, posted the same message for former club teammate Wan-Bissaka.
Jadon Sancho, on the other hand, sent his best wishes to Wan-Bissaka after the former Palace star completed his move to West Ham.
“My family!” he wrote, adding a fingers crossed emoji and a heart emoji.
Sancho continued: “All the best brother.”
