Aaron Wan-Bissaka has sealed his move from Manchester United to West Ham.

Right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka has been confirmed as West Ham’s latest high-profile addition, leaving Manchester United.

Joining to the tune of £15 million, per BBC Sport, the FA Cup and League Cup winner signs a surprisingly lengthy seven-year deal while claiming the number 29 shirt he wore at Old Trafford.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka leaves Manchester United for West Ham

Wan-Bissaka, speaking to The Hammers’ official website, describes the move as a ‘no-brainer’.

Born in Croydon and a graduate of Crystal Palace’s academy, the Londoner is delighted to be back home in the capital.

Tim Steidten, meanwhile, is equally delighted, his smile turned up to eleven.

After luring Mohammed Kudus, Edson Alvarez, Niclas Fullkrug and even the former Man United target Jean-Clair Todibo to the London Stadium, this is another major statement of intent from West Ham’s increasingly highly-rated technical director.

“I am delighted we’ve been able to get the deal to sign Aaron over the line,” Steidten says. “He’s exactly the type of player we’re looking to attract to this club in the prime years of his career.”

The former Bayer Leverkusen chief then rattled off a list of attributes that Man United supporters will be very familiar with.

Unsurprisingly, Wan-Bissaka’s fabled tackling ability was at the forefront of Steidten’s mind.

Man United on verge of Bayern Munich swoop

“He’s an incredibly talented defender who we rate very highly. (Wan-Bissaka is) superb in one-on-one situations,” Steidten adds, the so-called ‘Spider’ trapping Jeremy Doku and Allan Saint-Maximin in his net as Man United triumphed at Wembley in each of Erik ten Hag’s first two seasons.

“He’s versatile too, which is clearly another positive. He’s played over 170 Premier League games during his career – he knows the division inside-out.

“I’d like to personally thank the board for their continued backing to bring players of such quality to West Ham. It’s a really exciting time for us as we prepare for the start of the new season this weekend.”

With Wan-Bissaka now officially out the door, Man United are free to confirm the arrival of Mazraoui alongside his former Bayern Munich and Ajax team-mate Matthijs de Ligt.

Both players, who will cost the Red Devils a combined £50 million, were spotted arriving in Manchester on Monday night and could make their debuts in that famous shirt against Fulham three days from now.

Mazraoui and De Ligt, meanwhile, will take United’s number of summer signings to four.

Joshua Zirkzee could also feature versus The Cottagers after watching on from the bench during Saturday’s penalty shoot-out defeat to Man City in the Community Shield. Leny Yoro will have to wait, however, after breaking his metatarsal.
