Sky Sports pundit Gary Neville has now broken down what Senne Lammens offered to the Manchester United defence in the Everton match on Monday evening.
Senne Lammens secured the latest Premier League clean sheet to his name after Manchester United’s 1-0 win over Everton at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.
Do you agree with Edwin van der Sar over his Lammens praise?
He was excellent against Everton, but is he the long-term goalkeeper for United?
The Red Devils experienced a tough test in their first Premier League match in 13 days, following Man Utd’s 1-1 draw against West Ham earlier this month.
Michael Carrick ensured that United picked up their fifth win in six Premier League matches under him after Benjamin Sesko’s impact from the Red Devils bench.

Senne Lammens has now kept three Premier League clean sheets from Michael Carrick’s first six matches as Manchester United interim head coach this season.
The 23-year-old Belgian shot-stopper came to United’s rescue against Everton during the second half and denied the Toffees from scuppering the Red Devils’ victory.
Who was your Man Utd MAN OF THE MATCH vs Everton?
Let us know why!
Speaking after Man Utd’s 1-0 win over Everton, Gary Neville insisted that Lammens was his Man of the Match for the confidence that he instilled in the backline.
“The goalkeeper, I thought, was my Man of the Match tonight,” he said on Sky Sports’ The Gary Neville Podcast.
“Not necessarily because he made loads of amazing saves, but everything he did, he just did really calmly and well, the tip over the bar at the end.
“There was a shot from Tyrique George, wasn’t it? It was just bounced in front of him. He just held it. And then Everton must have had about 8 or 9 corners.”
Gary Neville on the major role that Senne Lammens played in Man Utd securing all three Premier League points
Lammens has been hailed for his transformative impact between the sticks after replacing Andre Onana as Man Utd’s No 1 in the 2025-26 Premier League season.
United legend Neville suggested that the level-headed approach that the Belgium international made to the Everton match stood out in his eyes for the right reasons.
What is your message to Michael Carrick after the win vs Everton?
“He [Lammens] didn’t deal with every single one, but he dealt with a lot of them,” he added.
“And I think having a goalkeeper of composure, who just does his job calmly, isn’t frantic, isn’t sort of rushing around, I think makes a big difference in moments like that when you come into a place like this and they’re putting enormous pressure on you.
“So, look, it’s a good night for Manchester United in a game whereby you’ll say that they weren’t at their best, but we got three points and really big three points.”
Lammens has kept five clean sheets in 21 Premier League matches for Man Utd since the Red Devils signed him from Belgian outfit Royal Antwerp last September.
