Manchester United star Casemiro has opened up about meeting with British billionaire Sir Jim Ratcliffe and highlighted one important thing about the Ineos chief.
Sir Jim Ratcliffe completed his 25 per cent minority stake purchase in the Premier League club, which was announced by Manchester United on Christmas Eve in 2023.
The 71-year-old lifelong United fan, whose purchase is expected to be ratified next month, is now at the helm of football operations at Old Trafford.
Ratcliffe has since been at Old Trafford and was spotted alongside legendary former manager Sir Alex Ferguson during United’s 2-2 draw against Tottenham.
The Ineos chief also visited United’s Carrington training complex earlier this month and met with both first-team players and current Red Devils manager Erik ten Hag.
Ratcliffe has since been asked about his involvement at United after his minority stake purchase and whether or not he will be in attendance for more matches.
The British billionaire is expected to have Ineos director of sport Sir Dave Brailsford as part of his team running the football operations at United.

Casemiro’s future has been up in the air this season amid fierce transfer interest from Saudi Arabia, with the Manchester United star struggling with injuries this season.
The 31-year-old Brazilian was widely hailed last season for his transformative impact in midfield for United after the Red Devils signed him in a deal worth £70m in 2022.
Casemiro made his long-awaited return from injury on Sunday in United’s 4-2 win over Newport County at the Rodney Parade in the fourth round of the FA Cup.
Speaking to CNN, Casemiro talked about Sir Jim Ratcliffe meeting with United’s players and praised him for his “winning mentality” and his “wins in all sports.”
“He’s already introduced himself to us,” he said.
“I think with his winning mentality and his wins in all sports, it’s always very important to have people that want to continue growing.
“With his experience, he’ll return Manchester United to the highest possible level. We are very hungry to learn, grow and take the club to the highest place.”
Casemiro on his United future
Casemiro, who is under contract with United until 2026, played down the speculation over his future and wants to help the Red Devils climb back to the top of world football.
“I’m very happy at Manchester United,” he said.
“As I’ve always said, the fans have always helped me. The club is always good to me.”
Casemiro added: “It was always my challenge to help my teammates and Manchester United keep growing and, of course, as we all want, return the club to being the best in the world.”
