Manchester United named a 31-man squad list for the club’s pre-season of Thailand and Australia – which also saw Will Fish flown out as a 32nd player.
United gave game time to nearly all of the players who flew out, with Alejandro Garnacho and goalkeepers Matej Kovar and Nathan Bishop the unfortunate exceptions.
A number of players are expected to leave the club on loan, including some who didn’t even make the tour, with Alvaro Fernandez clinching his exit yesterday.
But instead of heading out on loan, some of the players who went on tour could have played for United for the final time. Here is a look at who could be sold before the end of the transfer window…

Alex Telles
Alex Telles played in all four of Manchester United’s pre-season fixtures, but none of them came as a starter.
He did not feature in his preferred left-back position either, filling in at centre-back, and then bizarrely in defensive midfield.
With Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia battling for the left-back role, Telles now appears surplus to requirements.
United will be open to offers for the defender, who will also want to play to ensure he gets into the Brazil squad for the World Cup.
Aaron Wan-Bissaka
Diogo Dalot established himself as Manchester United’s clear first-choice right-back during the pre-season tour.
Wan-Bissaka did not play particularly well when called upon, and did not play in all of the games, while Dalot started all four.
A loan deal may be most likely, but if a suitable offer comes in for Wan-Bissaka, United will likely accept it.
United will have to go out and sign a right-back to replace him, and this will be much easier if the defender leaves permanently for a fee, rather than on loan.
Tahith Chong
It was a little of a surprise that Tahith Chong went on tour, but United are light depth-wise in attack and he saw playing time.
Chong has talent, and forced a goal against Melbourne, and Erik ten Hag was likely assessing whether he could be used in a back-up role in the Europa League group stages.
Most likely however, is that Chong’s time as a Manchester United player is over. There is one year remaining on his contract, and it makes sense to cash in, even if a fee is just around £5 million.
Axel Tuanzebe
Axel Tuanzebe left United’s tour after one match, without featuring. This came amid speculation that Turkish side Fanatik are interested, while The Athletic report Bournemouth are interested.
After two loan spells last season, Tuanzebe needs a permanent move, he is now 24-years-old.
He is sixth choice in the United pecking order at present and is unlikely to see game time if he stays.
Eric Bailly
Eric Bailly was one of the best performing defenders on United’s pre-season tour, and may have convinced Erik ten Hag to use him next season.
However, he is still only fifth choice at present after Lisandro Martinez’s arrival at the club, and his future will depend on how much he pushes for an exit.
United have little to gain from loaning Bailly out, but if there is an offer of around £10 million, then it is one the club will likely consider.
