17-year-old striker now training with Manchester United first-team after Hojlund blow

Manchester United have been giving a series of youngsters a chance training with the first team and now the latest player has been called up.

Carrington is one of Europe’s most successful academies and so when a new player is promoted to the first-team even for training, it’s something to take note of.

This season alone has seen the academy have multiple players make the leap for Manchester United. Kobbie Mainoo ofcourse being the most successful with Willy Kambwala and Omari Forson the other two to actually get minutes.

Now, Erik ten Hag has brought one of the academies most exciting forwards up into training as he looks to solve the gap left by Rasmus Hojlund‘s injury.

Gabriele Biancheri called into Manchester United first-team training

The latest name to be called into first-team training is 17-year-old striker Gabriele Biancheri.

The Welshman took to his Instagram, posting a story which showed him in training with the senior side.

The youngster has been compared with legendary Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero due to his style of player.

While the chances of him being handed any senior minutes is slim right now, it will be an amazing moment for him to be training with the seniors.

It does however show that Ten Hag is keen to have a closer look at his options in the striker position as his options without Hojlund aren’t looking strong.

Gabriele Biancheri 2023/24 stats

This season the Wales U17 whiz has been pretty regular for the Manchester United U18 side which has been rampant in the U18 Premier League.

Biancheri has played 13 games in which he has yielded five goals and three assists for the Red Devils. The striker also made his first appearance in the UEFA Youth League.

Signed from Cardiff City last January as a 16-year-old, Biancheri has been tipped as a top talent, and there is likely still plenty of improvements to go for him.
