It remains to be seen how busy Manchester United will be on transfer deadline day when it comes to incoming deals.

Where outgoings are concerned – it could be hectic. The bloated squad needs trimming, and there are several players who could leave permanently or on loan.

This does not include Aaron Wan-Bissaka, who will stay, Erik ten Hag told The Athletic.

Last week he explained that Phil Jones, Axel Tuanzebe and Brandon Williams will also be staying as they won’t be fit enough to clinch loan moves. The same applies to Facundo Pellistri.

11 players who could leave Manchester United on deadline day

Last night Amad clinched his loan move to Sunderland. Here is a look at 11 more players who could leave Manchester United on deadline day…

Nathan Bishop: Martin Dubravka’s arrival means United can afford to allow Nathan Bishop to leave the club on loan. He spent last season at League Two side Mansfield Town.

Matej Kovar: Like Bishop, Matej Kovar is another goalkeeper expected to leave on loan. The Sun report Sunderland are a possible destination.

Dishon Bernard: Centre-back Dishon Bernard needs a permanent switch away from United. He spent last season on loan at Hull. Tuttomercatoweb linked him with a surprise move to Inter Milan.

Teden Mengi: A loan move for Teden Mengi is possible, dependent on fitness. He is back training at Carrington in a bid to get fit. He has spent time on loan at Derby and Birmingham previously.

Will Fish: Another centre-back in need of a loan, United are likely to send Will Fish out to gain more first team experience.

Ethan Galbraith: Northern Ireland under-21 international Ethan Galbraith has become a forgotten figure. He could leave permanently if there are offers, otherwise there will likely be a loan move.

Charlie Savage: Unlike Galbraith, Charlie Savage has some momentum behind him after a strong pre-season. It’s unclear whether United want to keep him for depth at under-21 level or find him a loan move.

James Garner: A permanent switch looks to be on the cards for James Garner. The Athletic report talks are ongoing with Everton.

Shola Shoretire: A first career loan move is needed for talented attacker Shola Shoretire. He needs to show he can produce at competitive level, to boost his first team opportunities.

Tahith Chong: An overdue permanent exit is expected for Tahith Chong. Fabrizio Romano reports Birmingham City are keen after a promising loan spell last season.

Cristiano Ronaldo: Never say never. While Erik ten Hag hinted Ronaldo could stay at his press conference, the forward’s desire to leave is well known. If a suitable offer finally presents itself, United could permit an exit.
