Roy Keane is demanding a strong response from Manchester United’s captain after the defeat to Newcastle United.
The Premier League continues to serve up misery for Manchester United after a 4-1 defeat to Newcastle United on Sunday afternoon.
The Red Devils have nothing left to play for domestically but being slumped in 14th in the Premier League table is simply not good enough.
Altay Bayindir failed to impress after he was given a golden opportunity to replace the dropped Andre Onana.
Even Bruno Fernandes was not his usual self, and he cut a frustrated figure on the bench after he was taken off in the second half.

Roy Keane wants Bruno Fernandes to confront Man United teammate
After the defeat, Roy Keane was seething at United’s performance, claiming Amorim’s side are “mentally weak”.
Keane has been heavily critical of Fernandes and his leadership in this squad, and he continue to cast doubt on the Portuguese midfielder following his post-match comments.
Bruno Fernandes told Sky Sports that he was “frustrated” by his teammates and their poor display at St James’ Park. “I know how good they can be. I know how tough it is to represent this club,” he added.
In response, Roy Keane suggested that Fernandes should confront Diogo Dalot in the dressing room following his defensive mistakes.
“To be fair to Bruno Fernandes he fronts up but to me it’s just soundbites now,” Keane said.
“He was talking about his team-mates and belief but what about his right-back Dalot who didn’t put a leg out to tackle?
“I hope he is pulling him in the dressing room because he keeps talking about having belief in his teammates but real good teammates put demands on each other.”
Diogo Dalot’s Man United struggles exposed against Newcastle
In a match where Ruben Amorim was keen to rotate, Diogo Dalot kept his spot in the starting lineup.
Dalot’s availability has been a huge strength, but he made so many mistakes against Newcastle that he might be in desperate need of a rest.
In the first half, Dalot was brilliant in the build-up to Alejandro Garnacho’s equaliser, but in the second half his defensive work was nothing short of woeful.

Dalot allowed Tino Livramento to skip past him early in the second half and the Newcastle full-back delivered an excellent cross that led to Harvey Barnes’ first goal.
With Noussair Mazraoui playing at centre-back, there is very little depth to replace Dalot at wing-back with Amad Diallo yet to return from injury.
