Ruben Amorim and Manchester United slumped to another defeat on Saturday evening, losing 3-2 at home to Nottingham Forest.
Manchester United were looking to hit back after falling to a 2-0 defeat at Arsenal in midweek.
Ruben Amorim would have been hoping for another home win having beaten Everton 4-0 last weekend.
There was no such repeat though as United lost 3-2 to Nottingham Forest in a pretty dreadful performance.

Forest’s opener came from a set piece in the early stages of the game before an Andre Onana mistake and some ponderous defending sealed Forest’s win.

United are still adjusting under Amorim but this was pretty woeful stuff.
United were in the game at 1-1 but Morgan Gibbs-White’s goal really sapped any kind of momentum.
Gibbs-White’s low drive somehow beat Andre Onana in the United goal, with the stopper seemingly misjudging the strike.
Gibbs-White was even left surprised that his shot found the net as he spoke to Sky Sports after Forest’s win.
The playmaker didn’t want to disrespect Onana by any means, praising the United stopper as ‘incredible’.
Gibbs-White thought that Onana was just going to easily pick up the ball, only for the shot to give Forest a 2-1 lead.
“I didn’t at all, to be fair,” said Gibbs-White when asked if he thought he would score with that effort.
“I don’t want to discredit Onana, he’s a great keeper, an incredible keeper, but when I first took the shot I thought ‘oh he’s going to pick up’ and it went in, but you count them don’t you?” he added.
Andre Onana could be set for new competition
Onana has largely been a positive for United this season but the soft nature of Gibbs-White’s goal stings.
We aren’t expecting Onana to lose his place in the team any time soon though and he may even have new competition arriving in the future.
Onana’s backup Altay Bayindir is expected to leave United in 2025 as he chases first-team action away from Old Trafford.
Sunderland’s Anthony Patterson is on United’s radar with a homegrown stopper potentially eyed for whenever Bayindir leaves.
United may hope to see a new goalkeeper really push Onana, but he certainly needs to bounce back after this mistake one way or another.
