Manchester United are in action for the fourth time in pre-season in the early hours of Thursday morning when they take on Real Betis.

It’s been a pre-season of mixed results so far for Manchester United as their sole 2-0 victory over Rangers has come sandwiched between two defeats.

Erik ten Hag’s side kicked off the summer with a 1-0 loss to Rosenborg while they fell to a 2-1 defeat to Arsenal on Sunday.

While the results matter little, the defeat to Arsenal proved to be a costly one as they lost two important players to injury. Not a good omen for the season to come.

Team news

United were plagued by injuries last season and they have been bitten by the bug early this time around.

Rasmus Hojlund was forced off the field after just 16 minutes having already given United the lead and then new signing Leny Yoro hobbled off 20 minutes later.

Things don’t look promising for Yoro, who has since been spotted walking on crutches, while Hojlund didn’t sound hopeful about his own setback after the game.
