Manchester United are returning to Bilbao, three weeks on from a 3-0 semi-final win with silverware on the mind.

This season for Manchester United has been long and hard, yet despite record lows in domestic football, the Europa League has been something of a happy place for Ruben Amorim’s side.

Everything this season rests on the Europa League final, in which the Red Devils will face a Tottenham side which have beaten United three times this season already.

Heading into the game, Amorim has a strong team available to him with several injured players fighting to be fit and involved against Spurs.

Meanwhile, Spurs themselves have a handful of injuries, including Dejan Kulusevski and James Maddison.

But now, Amorim has announced his travelling squad to Bilbao for the final, and it is as strong as could possibly be.

Manchester United squad to face Tottenham has been named

Manchester United announced the 26-man travelling squad for the trip to Bilbao to take on Spurs through club media on Tuesday, following open training.

Ruben Amorim is bringing a very strong squad to Bilbao

After all the injury crises that Amorim has experienced throughout this season, the squad being so strong for the final will be a massive boost for the head coach.

In particular, the inclusion of Joshua Zirkzee, Leny Yoro, and Diogo Dalot could be key, bolstering both the back-line and the striker position.

Manchester Evening News’ Steven Railston shared that he had been told that all three were considered to be ‘fully fit’, which hopefully sees Dalot and Yoro start and potentially also Zirkzee up front to save Rasmus Hojlund from the spotlight.

Amorim has basically the entire senior team available apart from Lisandro Martinez and Matthijs de Ligt who was only fit enough for individual training on Tuesday.

There are no excuses for Amorim if United fail to win the trophy on Wednesday. Put simply, he must beat Spurs in Bilbao or risk a very miserable summer.
