Alejandro Garnacho has proven over the past week he does not need 90 minutes to make an impact.

He came off the bench in the 72nd minute at Craven Cottage to score a dramatic late winner to help the team to a 2-1 win over Fulham.

Garnacho’s impact made him a popular choice for Manchester United’s fan voted man of the match award, via the club website.

He became the youngest player in the Premier League to score an injury time winner since Federico Macheda for United in 2009.

Man of the match against Fulham

Garnacho’s incredible late impact saw him overwhelmingly win the supporter vote for man of the match.

Eriksen scored United’s opening goal and provided the assist for Garnacho’s winner. He would have been a deserving recipient of the top vote too.

Garnacho was voted as man of the match in midweek when he provided two assists against Aston Villa, and a week earlier when he struck the winner against Real Sociedad in the Europa League.

His great work is not going unnoticed, and former star Wes Brown credits manager Erik ten Hag.

He told MUTV: “I think the manager has done well with him. You’ve got to try and manage him as best you can but when he comes on and puts in an impact like that [it’s brilliant]. He came on and took his chance. He’s a great talent.”
