Manchester United fans all saying same thing about Manuel Ugarte performance vs Chelsea, ‘obvious’ claim is made

Manchester United took on Chelsea at Old Trafford on Sunday as the Premier League campaign continued.

It was a second home game as interim manager for Ruud Van Nistelrooy and he remains unbeaten after a 1-1 draw with Enzo Maresca’s Chelsea.

The game at Old Trafford was a real slow burner as neither side managed to take control which provided a real stalemate right up until 25 minutes into the second half.

Manchester United had the best chances of the game, and in the 70th minute, Bruno Fernandes made it 1-0 from the penalty spot.

This goal ignited the game as Moises Caicedo then equalised from outside the box with a special goal we cannot help but admire.

The game ended 1-1 in a result both teams will likely be happy with – but Manuel Ugarte has been slammed by United fans on X.

How Manuel Ugarte fared against Chelsea

After Ugarte put in his best United performance to date against Leicester, expectations were high for Sunday against Chelsea.

However, against superior opposition, he was unlikely to live up to these standards, which is exactly what happened.

Ugarte was rated by FotMob as the worst player on the pitch for United with a rating of just 5.7.

A very underwhelming display by the 23-year-old as he really only had one positive moment – which was his long pass to Marcus Rashford, switching the play and getting some praise for this.

However, Ugarte’s performance left fans far from happy and reacting on social media.

Manchester United fans disappointed with Ugarte display

Ugarte’s below-par performance did not go down well among fans.

After his performance, United fans on X were reacting – one fan made an ‘obvious’ claim: “Ugarte is not prem level, obvious for anyone who watched him at PSG but we move, CBA to argue about him”.

A second agreed completely, with another ‘obvious’ claim: “Ugarte was the most obvious flop of all time. Of course this fanbase lapped the signing up”.

“Ugarte is the worst midfielder I’ve ever seen at United. Not even as good as Tom Cleverly”, commented a fan quite harshly.

Another wrote: “Ugarte is genuinely shocking man, no one is saving this guy.”

“I have seen horrible midfielders in my lifetime but Ugarte is a discovery”, another commented.
