Manchester United fans have now singled out Lisandro Martinez after the Red Devils’ 1-1 Premier League draw against relegation-threatened West Ham on Tuesday evening.

West Ham hosted Manchester United at the London Stadium and the Hammers opened the scoring early in the second half after a first-half 0-0 scoreline.

Jarrod Bowen fired a low cross in from the right and Tomas Soucek caught the United defence by complete surprise after superbly finishing from close range.

The Red Devils thought they found the all-important equaliser in the 62nd minute after Casemiro found the back of the net from a stunning Kobbie Mainoo cross.

However, VAR intervened and ruled that Casemiro was in an offside position, with the Man Utd midfielder’s header chalked off and West Ham maintained their lead.

United rescued a point against West Ham at the London Stadium after substitute Benjamin Sesko scored a stunning all-important equaliser in second-half injury time.

Man Utd fans’ verdict on Lisandro Martinez after his Premier League display vs West Ham spoke volumes

United In Focus’ TalkingPoints was lively after Tuesday evening’s result and Manchester United fans were deeply mixed about Lisandro Martinez’s performance.

“Bit too slow at certain points throughout the match, but still had good moments,” a Red Devils supporter wrote.

Someone else added: “He was good, not as good as he has been, though. For me, he was a tad too slow on the ball, but there’s no doubting his passing is out of this world.”

“Shame [that] him playing means [Ayden] Heaven can’t,” a third Man Utd fan suggested.

Somebody else commented: “Wouldn’t be surprised if he [Heaven] asked for a loan in the summer. He needs to be playing week in, week out.”

Another posted: “Feel sorry for him [Ayden]. He had such a good run of games and has not got many minutes since players have come back from injury.”

Michael Carrick still keeps Man Utd in the Premier League top-four picture after Benjamin Sesko comes to his rescue

United dropped their first Premier League points under Michael Carrick after a scintillating run of form under the 44-year-old Red Devils interim head coach.

Michael Carrick, who is serving as interim head coach until the end of the season, had put United into the top-four picture after four consecutive Premier League wins.

The Red Devils defeated both Manchester City and Arsenal in January before Man Utd chalked up wins against Fulham and Tottenham at Old Trafford this month.

United’s momentum was slightly derailed on Tuesday and the Red Devils suffered their first minor setback under Carrick in the 2025-26 Premier League season.

However, West Ham’s 1-1 draw at the London Stadium is enough to allow the Red Devils to stay fourth after Chelsea’s 2-2 draw against Leeds United on Tuesday.
