Manchester United fans didn’t think twice about sharing their instant verdict on Benjamin Sesko after the Red Devils returned to action against Manchester City on Sunday afternoon.
The Red Devils travelled to the Etihad for the first Manchester derby of the 2025-26 campaign and their first match since the end of the September international break.
Ruben Amorim’s men picked up their first Premier League win of the season ahead of the derby, with Manchester United beating Burnley 3-2 at Old Trafford in August.
The Red Devils secured their first three Premier League points after Bruno Fernandes scored a second-half injury-time penalty in United’s clash with Burnley.
While United came into the Manchester derby with a win under their belt, Pep Guardiola had watched Manchester City’s form take a serious wobble in August.
City thumped Wolves 4-0 in their opening match of the 2025-26 season before losing 2-0 to Tottenham at the Etihad and suffering a 2-1 away defeat to Brighton.

Man Utd fans react to Benjamin Sesko’s display in the Premier League match against Man City at the Etihad
Benjamin Sesko finally had his opportunity to start in the Premier League after Ruben Amorim turned to the Manchester United summer signing on Sunday.
The 22-year-old Slovenia international’s first three Premier League appearances for United came from the bench after his blockbuster move from RB Leipzig in August.
However, Benjamin Sesko led the frontline last month in United’s shock penalty shootout defeat to Grimsby Town in the second round of the Carabao Cup.
United fans on social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, were baffled at the lack of services that the Slovenian forward received against Manchester City.
One United fan said: “No service for Sesko at all.”
Someone else commented: “Sesko is suffering because there is [a] lack of creativity in the midfield.”
“You can’t blame Sesko; he [is getting] no service, no crosses,” a third Red Devils supporter wrote.
While another tweeted: “Sesko is 6ft 5in and we’ve [provided] him [zero] service. What’s the point of buying him?”
“Sesko is crying out for some service,” another X user posted.
Somebody else asked: “Why [is] Sesko not getting any service at all?”
“See how isolated Sesko is in front. No service at all,” a seventh claimed.
And an eighth added: “How’s Sesko meant to score if he’s getting zero service?”
