Manchester United fans did not pass up the opportunity to drop their two cents on an eye-catching moment from one of Ruben Amorim’s “special” players against Bournemouth.
The Red Devils have now picked up back-to-back wins on their pre-season tour of the United States, following on from Manchester United’s victory over West Ham.
United’s 2-1 win over West Ham last Sunday was the Red Devils’ first Premier League Summer Series match of their pre-season campaign under Ruben Amorim.
The Red Devils were back in action on Thursday and Amorim’s men travelled to the Soldier Field in Illinois, with Manchester United facing Bournemouth in their tie.
United impressed against Bournemouth in Chicago and Amorim’s side secured a thumping 4-1 victory in their second Premier League Summer Series match.
The Red Devils produced a strong display, both attacking-wise and defensively, at the Soldier Field and United walked away with another positive result in the US.

Diego Leon’s cameo for Ruben Amorim’s men vs Bournemouth was not overlooked by Man Utd fans during the win at the Soldier Field
Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim turned to his bench in the second half and brought on defender Diego Leon in place of Red Devils striker Rasmus Hojlund.
Diego Leon impressed United fans after he came on in the 71st minute, including playing a key part in youngster Ethan Williams scoring for the Red Devils.
The 18-year-old Paraguayan wonderkid made a blistering run into the Bournemouth box before tripping up, but Ethan Williams was there to pounce on the chance.
Despite falling over in the build-up to United’s fourth against Bournemouth, Leon earned himself high praise from Red Devils supporters for his tenacity and desire.
“Diego Leon [is] gonna push [Patrick] Dorgu this season and that’s great because Dorgu is class,” one United fan said.
While a second added: “Diego Leon, I like what I’m seeing physically.”
Someone else commented: “18-year-old Diego Leon just shrugged off 6’5” [Philip] Billing with ease in the middle of the park.”
A fourth X user posted: “This is my favourite performance from Diego Leon so far. Still looks rusty but I’m loving what I’m seeing.”
Another Red Devils supporter argued: “Don’t sleep on it. This Diego Leon ball carriage was insane.”
And a sixth tweeted: “Diego Leon looks really raw but massively strong. Let’s see what Amorim does with him. Could be special, he reminds me of Antonio Valencia.”
“I counted that as the ‘no-look dive pass’ from Diego Leon,” somebody else suggested.
An eighth United fan wrote: “Diego Leon looks decent so far on the left-hand side.”
Diego Leon’s pre-season with Man Utd is showing the wonderkid’s potential for Man Utd manager Ruben Amorim
United agreed to sign Diego Leon back in January and the Red Devils talent finally arrived at Old Trafford this summer after he left Paraguayan outfit Cerro Porteno.
Leon has already made an immediate impression on United fans and Amorim has wasted no time taking a closer look at the wonderkid during the pre-season tour.
The former Cerro Porteno talent is still raw at times, but that is forgivable considering his age and his inexperience with first-team football at the top level.
However, Leon is capable of playing as both a left-back and as a left wing-back and has shown that he is the perfect fit for Amorim’s tactical system at United.
There is a long path ahead for Leon’s development at Old Trafford, but there is no denying that the Paraguayan isn’t afraid to seize any opportunity in front of him.
