Manchester United fans singled out Leny Yoro after what they saw from the player’s eye-catching performance in the Premier League clash at Craven Cottage against Fulham.

The Red Devils finally kicked off their 2025-26 Premier League campaign last week and Manchester United suffered a 1-0 defeat to Arsenal at Old Trafford.

Despite United’s scoreline result against Arsenal on the opening weekend of the Premier League season, there were major positives for Ruben Amorim to take away.

The Red Devils were lively in attack and United placed the Gunners on the back foot last Sunday, despite missing out on finding the crucial equaliser at Old Trafford.

Mikel Arteta’s men snatched all three Premier League points from their opening 2025-26 clash, with United shot-stopper Altay Bayindir at fault for Arsenal’s winner in the tie.

Following the tight-fought encounter with the Gunners, United hit the road for the first time in the new season and travelled to Craven Cottage to face Fulham on Sunday.

Leny Yoro’s performance in the Premier League encounter at Fulham’s Craven Cottage has Man Utd fans talking a lot

Manchester United fans took to social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, and waxed lyrical about the superb showing from Leny Yoro in Sunday’s Premier League match.

An X user wrote: “Leny Yoro oozes class, like a Rio Ferdinand regen.”

Someone else said: “Yoro [is] slowly becoming our best defender.”

“Yoro could be one of the best CBs in the world by next season, already seems adjusted to Prem [Premier League] intensity,” a third United supporter posted.

Another Red Devils fan added: “How were we able to steal Leny Yoro from [Real] Madrid?”

“Leny Yoro will go down as our best signing post-SAF [Sir Alex Ferguson] in a few years, BTW,” somebody else suggested.

While a sixth commented: “Yoro is a generational talent; how’s he [19 years old] and playing like this? We missed out on [Raphael] Varane years [ago]. This is a good compensation for us.”

“If Yoro joined Madrid two years ago, he would be the most valuable CB in the world right now,” a seventh tweeted.

Another claimed: “Yoro is a f—— monster. This is Rio [Ferdinand] 2025 with better passing and [a] final third ability, WOW.”

What happened in Fulham vs Man Utd at Craven Cottage amid Leny Yoro’s Premier League showing?

The Red Devils were lively in the first half against Fulham on Sunday afternoon’s clash, but United scuppered the opportunity to take the advantage from a penalty.

United were awarded a penalty after VAR’s intervention and Bruno Fernandes stepped up for the penalty, only for the club captain to sky his effort over the bar.

Ruben Amorim’s men were left to rue Bruno Fernandes’ missed spot-kick strike at the half-time whistle, with United and Fulham heading into the break deadlocked.

United opened the scoring early in the second half after Leny Yoro connected with Bryan Mbeumo’s corner, with the defender’s header deflecting off Rodrigo Muniz.

However, Fulham were able to cancel out United’s opener in the second half after Emile Smith Rowe came off the bench and netted an equaliser for his side.

United will now switch their attention away from the Premier League after the 1-1 draw and the Red Devils will begin their 2025-26 Carabao Cup campaign.

The Red Devils will travel to Blundell Park to face League Two side Grimsby Town on Wednesday evening, with kick-off for the Carabao Cup clash slated for 8pm UK time.
