For the first time since January, Shea Lacey was back in first-team action for Manchester United against Brighton.

Manchester United ended the 2025/26 season with a dominant 3-0 victory over Brighton and Michael Carrick had an opportunity to give minutes to young players.

With United already three goals up, Shea Lacey came off the bench to replace Patrick Dorgu at the Amex Stadium.

Lacey was sent off against Brighton in his last first-team outing in January, but he had a much happier experience against the Seagulls this time around.

This season has been a breakthrough for Lacey in terms of getting himself in the first-team picture.

Carrick is a big admirer of Lacey and with United back in the Champions League next season, the first-team squad will have to compete across four fronts.
