The young Manchester United contingent stepped up and made the difference in the first pre-season game of the summer.
It was Noam Emeran and Joe Hugill who scored the goals to secure a 2-0 win in Norway, with Isak Hansen-Aaroen providing the assist in front of his native Norwegian crowd for the opener.
Surprise package Emeran set up Hugill’s goal, and it was impressive to see the way the youngsters clicked together and won the game, also looking solid at the back.
Former star Henning Berg was a pundit for MUTV and he noted Emeran as one two players who stood out.

Henning Berg praises Noam Emeran and Shola Shoretire
Asked which players stood out, Berg named Shola Shoretire along with Noam Emeran for the impact they both made in the second half.
He told MUTV: “I thought the two wingers in the second half were good.
“I think they had a little bit of physicality and technicality. They wanted to show, got on the ball and made passes, made runs.

“Yes, I’m sure they can have a good future.”
Emeran was voted as the fans man of the match for his performance, the first time he has scored for the first team in a friendly match.
He ended the season strongly for the under-21s last season, while Shola Shoretire is returning from a loan at League One side Bolton Wanderers.
Ronny Johnsen backs duo
Another of Manchester United’s former Norwegian contingent, Ronny Johnsen, also praised the two young players.
He said: “Both wingers did quite well. Emeran’s sprints he did a couple of times – he wasn’t afraid of his hamstrings!
“They did quite well and I enjoyed that one.”
Emeran and Shoretire will get another chance to showcase their quality next week against Lyon, and will hope they can do enough to earn a player on the plane to the US for the main leg of the summer tour.
