Ruben Amorim has spoken out on one key first-team Manchester United player who is “experienced enough” after what he did against Chelsea on Saturday.
The Red Devils produced a dominant showing in the first half against the Blues and Chelsea were reduced to 10 men early on after Robert Sanchez’s careless challenge.
Robert Sanchez received a straight red card after he clattered into Bryan Mbeumo, who had been played through after Benjamin Sesko flicked the ball into his path.
Bruno Fernandes opened the scoring for the Red Devils in the first half before Casemiro put Ruben Amorim’s men 2-0 up at Old Trafford on Saturday evening.
However, Manchester United’s firm control over Chelsea in the first half took a major hit in stoppage time, with Casemiro picking up his second booking of the contest.
Trevoh Chalobah netted late in the second half for the 10-man Blues, but United maintained their lead over Chelsea and walked away with all three points.

Ruben Amorim sends a clear-cut message about Casemiro after the Man Utd star’s red card against Chelsea at Old Trafford
Casemiro picked up his first booking in the 17th minute after the Manchester United midfielder caught the back of Enzo Fernandez’s leg in a late sliding challenge.
The 33-year-old Brazilian went on to score a close-range header past substitute Chelsea ‘keeper Filip Jorgensen, but then Casemiro went from hero to zero.
Casemiro was spotted grabbing the shoulders of Andrey Santos in a reckless challenge before the former Real Madrid star pulled down the Chelsea player.
Speaking after Sunday’s Premier League win over Chelsea, United manager Ruben Amorim insisted that Casemiro “will suffer” over the consequences of his actions.
“He’s [feeling] worse than me,” he told BBC Sport.
“We won, so I will forget a little bit and he will suffer because he’s a top professional.
“He understands what he did. He is experienced enough that [the] play should not be played like that. He cares too much.”
Ruben Amorim’s reaction to Man Utd’s Premier League performance against Chelsea after Casemiro was sent off
Premier League referee Peter Bankes wasted no time brandishing a second yellow and sent Casemiro marching off the pitch after his challenge on Andrey Santos.
Amorim admitted that United “suffered” after being reduced to 10 men against Chelsea, but he felt that the Red Devils did enough to earn all three points.
“We suffered in the end, but we deserved the win,” he continued.
“Our crowd, our fans are easy to please. If you give everything, they will be there.”
Amorim added: “That is something our players need to understand. To have the crowd with us, we just need to run, to fight and tackle.
“With this win, we have to forget the good feeling of winning the game and get back to the urgency of feeling we need to win the next game.”
Casemiro’s sending off for United led to Amorim making a key tactical change at half-time, with Benjamin Sesko being hooked off for midfielder Manuel Ugarte.
